The 2012 Spot Prawn season opened on 3 May 2012. Live prawns will be available the first day and through the season which should run through late June.

We do not consider ‘fresh’ whole prawns as a good option as quality deteriorates immediately once the prawn has died. ‘Fresh Frozen’, from trap to freezer, is much better. Fresh tails are also a good choice in season.
We offer only #1 quality frozen tails.
Tails are sharp frozen in ice. Sizes are extra-large (18-24 tails per pound) … med/large (25-35 tails per pound) … jumbo (14-17 tails per pound)
