The 2010 prawn season ran from 6 May to 25 June. The season was shorter than last year but still closed with plenty of prawns for the future. Live prawns will not be available until next May.

Frozen Spot Prawn tails: $20/pound — M-Large and XL-Jumbo
We do not consider ‘fresh’ whole prawns as a good option as quality deteriorates immediately once the prawn has died. ‘Fresh Frozen’, from trap to freezer, is much better. Fresh tails are also a good choice.
Tails are sharp frozen in ice. Size is large and extra-large (18-24 tails per pound).
